Question

PSA: My OB told me this at my 8 weeks appointment and I didn't listen. I google everything. I'm 32 weeks now and simply decided to google if my baby girl having hiccups this often is normal. Started talking about cord compression. As if being pregnant isn't scary enough, I think google is out to get us, not comfort us. Lesson learned. I will not google anymore.

Noooooooo!!!!! My son had hiccups allllll the time. I did the same.  Google smh nope. Had me worried sick then the Dr told me its totes normal lol

I just read an article from the national institute of health that mentioned hiccups 4x per day every day was a potential risk, but that seems like a lot. At least the quick research I did didn't seem to indicate this is something to worry excessively over. Hiccups caused by cord compression are far more rare than hiccups that are a normal, positive part of development.

I googled that same thing after I noticed my daughter was getting hiccups around 32 weeks. I saw the same article you mentioned and FREAKED out! I called my midwife and the said it was completely normal. I also have this huge fear of stillbirth which makes me even more paranoid 😩 Praying for relaxation!
