when to order a prom dress online

There's this prom dress online from Windsor but when would be the right time to buy it online. I don't want to buy it now because I want to try to put on weight because I'm not at the weight I'm happy at but would mid February be too late to order it and make sure it fits? I'm just really scared it's going to be sold out
