Named too Similar?

Question

I love the name Bennett if we are having a boy, the only problem is that I have a nephew named Beckett. My husband says that they are too similar. What do you guys think?

I can understand not wanting to use the same exact name as a close relative but I think similar is fine. Happens often. And I don't even think those two are that similar Sure they share a lot of the same letters but they're different names and they sound quite different :)

I think it's ok. 
My niece is Tillie and my daughter is Lilly. 
My name is Janelle and my cousin is Danelle. 
If you like it go for it.

They are different enough for you to go with your name of choice! It's not like you are copying her baby name. ( I had a good friend copy my baby name for her own son who was born two weeks after mine and I was pretty annoyed!)

My son and my nephew are named Connor and Gunnar. They sound similar but we haven't had any issue!

My nieces are Kenzie and Kennedy. My sisters thought it would be a problem having kids with such similar names but it hasn't been an issue at all. I'd say go for it!
