confused

So I just started trying to get pregnant this month but I went off my BC a few months back. I was getting my period every 31 days and now we are on day 33 with no period .... so I took a digital test this afternoon and it was Negative. Really thought maybe I got lucky on the first try but I guess not! However I know levels can be higher in the AM....so let's say I am still not getting my period in the next couple days... how long should I wait until I take another test ?
