Should I report this?

I wanna ask you ladies a question. So, I've been keeping something very dark to myself for about a year and half now. My boyfriend Austin knows about it, but im not sure if i should report it now...... Should I report that I got raped November and December 2015? I can't keep, ya know, holding it in, but i don't wanna get called a whore or liar or anything like that, not by my family or friends or even the fucking police. Im really conflicted....... I don't know what to do........

Yes. I think you should report it.  You can get help and you can possible save others girls from having it happen to them

I've been through a similar experience, I would always say report it, as they could do it to someone else and even just having told them it takes a huge weight of you and starts a long journey of recovery BUT I can't tell you that the police would prosecute (as that always comes down to how much evidence, statements and the interview with the offender) I also can't tell you that all your family and friends will be accepting or supportive because it can be a massive shock, and it causes great worry and concern. I only told my parents and my partner about what happened to me and I was lucky in a sense of my partner whole heartedly believed and supported me and still does to this day and my parents have been supportive at first they were shocked and didn't quite believe it could have happened to their little girl but no one should call you names or be angry at you as rape is NEVER the victims fault! If anyone does act like that then just let them and ignore it. I'm always here to talk and if you need any advice on the process just ask

I was raped when I was younger and it happened for years. I didn't tell cause I was scared but I thought I was pregnant so I ended up telling my schools principal who then told my mom... shortly after it happened again with someone else... I ran away from home cause I had a friend staying with me and was protecting her. No one understood why I ran away so I told my mom... at this point it was already happening for years so I didn't think she would believe me... but she ended up believing me and reported it to the police... it was a whole process with court meeting with the attorney and all that. Now I suffer from PTSD from all of it. I'd recommend saying something. It'll help you deal with the whole thing. I'm now in trauma therapy because of how messed up I've been over it. I'm now 23 but because I refused to tell or talk about it it ruined me. Don't do what I did and wait forever to tell.
