cold medicine while breastfeeding?

Anyone have any cold medications they recommend taking? I am breastfeeding so I don't want to take any that could jeopardize my supply. I'm used to taking NyQuil/DayQuil but I don't think it's safe to take while nursing. Thanks in advance!

Acetaminophen and ibuprofen are safe if you get a fever. Be careful with decongestants, I've especially heard sudafed can drop supply. And it's not a cold medicine but benadryl is safe. Usually you can go to the consultation desk at the pharmacy and ask and they can confirm whether something is safe or not. Feel better!

I read that Claritin is ok to take. I took some when I had a cold and it did not hurt my supply.
