Labor Inducing Techniques

Ok so had my 37 week appointment today and doctor said i am about 75-80% effaced but only half a centimeter dilated my cervix is still pointed way back at my back. My baby's head is at 0 station maybe even +1 station. The fact that i am that much effaced but not dilated worries me. Is there any proven methods to get my cervix back in the right place so i can actually dilate?
