*TMI* Is this normal after giving birth?

Question

During labor I received the epidural but I could feel an intense pressure around my butt area instead of vaginal area? It started before I was even pushing. I had a 2nd degree tear but I never looked down there until about 2 weeks after because I was scared.. I cant see any stitches so I'm thinking they dissolved already maybe? But now anytime I go #2 I get a pain that is between my vagina and butt but it's more towards my butt and there's a lump after I go... what is going on?

Sounds like hemmeroids from pregnancy or from straining while pushing. That pain in the bum rather than vaginal area is normal. This is where all women feel pressure ( your perinium) from baby moving down and squishing and putting pressure everywhere around the vaginal canal.  When they coach you to push they normally tell you to push so it feels like your pooing because of this. Get tucks pads witchhazel etc to help with making that lump stop hurting

The lump sounds like external hemorrhoids, and the pain (especially when going number 2) is totally normal. I had a second degree tear, my stitches dissolved within the first week, but the actual incision didn't really fully heal until week 4. That was also the time that my bleeding had stopped, so going to the bathroom became less frequent. Using the squirt bottle with a tiny bit of witch hazel added did wonders for me! I also had external hemorrhoids.
