is a crib necessary?

My husband and I are going to be either selling or renting our house in March. Can I use a bassinet for the time being or should I also get a crib. My thought was no crib because I don't want to move that in a few months. Thanks!

A bassinet would be fine for a few months. Most people have their babies sleep next to them in a bassinet for the first few months anyways.

We didn't put our 15 month old into a crib until she was 5 months old and out grew her sleeper. Hopefully we'll be able to do the same with this little guy and by the time he is ready for a crib his sister will be ready for a big girl bed.

I am also going that route. We plan on moving this summer, baby is due in march so we got the halo to keep in our room. The baby's room will be more for storage. We'll get a real crib once we're settled in our new state!

I had a mini crib for my first and ended up using it a lot for naps and half the nights. I was given an arms reach cosleeper this time so I'll be using that in our room for awhile before moving him to his big brother's room when he's a little older.

No I never used a crib and on kid number three. We had one with number two but she hated it with a passion even as a older baby.
