underskin bump on vagina

but i have a bump on my vagina and it's like under the skin, i think it might be either a friction bump or an ingrown hair but it acted like it wanted to pop but it wouldn't and i finally poked it with a sterilized thumb tack(all i had) and a teeeeny tiny bit of stuff came out and then the rest of the stuff that came out was just true red blood, i didn't see a hair or anything, a little bit of skin like peeled off. i've had this before in the same spot like it went down but it didn't fully go away so i'm wondering if it's an ingrown hair or if it's from frequently masturbating and i'm not wet enough and it's like causing friction? i've looked up STD symptoms and i don't have any symptoms but im still freaked.. someone help :( i don't have insurance to go to the doctor/hospital.

i'm alsoooo wondering if my birth control could be causing it; im fairly certain it only pops up when i'm on the first week of a new pack?
