Is it worth it?

I met a guy today that isn't from the U.S but is going to my school. I found myself blushing during our conversation, which he notice. After lunch he asked for my number and later thanked me for lunch. I'm considering it, but I once heard my friends telling someone it was a bad ideal. Tell me your opinion, I'll like to know.

If you like him, I don't see why not! The only issue I could forsee is if things get serious between the two of you and he doesn't plan on living in the US and you don't plan on going to his country .... but no sense in getting ahead of yourself!

I married someone from the other side of the world. It's no big deal. You can do this! These days it's so much easier to have a successful long distance relationship via skype. I met my husband by chance, we were not living in the same country at the time. You met while he is living in your country. That is already a huge advantage. It means he isn't too attached to his homeland. Go for it. What country are you and he from? If your cultures are similar it makes it even easier.
