BFP then what?

After your BFP....did you have blood work immediately? Called my OB and no appointment until 8 weeks....is this typical? Or do most have blood work prior to that?

If you are healthy and have no major health concerns, they usually don't see you until 8-10 weeks. If you've had miscarriages, are over a certain age, or have health issues, they usually see you sooner and/or do bloodwork

Depends on if you've had prior complicated pregnancies, as well as your age and your doctor's preference. I was seen at 4 weeks because I thought I was having eptopic, turns out it was early round ligament pain from having a tummy tuck a couple years ago and it being twins!

I had blood work the day I found out. I'm 4.4 at the moment. But leaving the country for my honey moon for a month. So they squeezed me in and I'm pregnant with good HCG level! Now off for my honeymoon and back st 8 weeks pregnant for scan

That's normal. A lot of women go to their PCP for a confirmation early on but 8 weeks is totally normal.

I've NEVER had blood work done. This is my 5th pregnancy  (4th carried after 13 weeks) they just do a doppler at 8 weeks for heart beat.

I think you can have confirmation blood work done but most OBs don't see you until 8 weeks. I just called today to make my first appointment after getting a BFP late last week and they made my appointment for 8 weeks on the dot.

Sounds okay , they usually have you come in and do a blood test
