Hands and such can get in the way and distort the image. When I showed my dad my ultrasound, he asked if I had slept with a black guy(as a joke, I'm married) because the babies lips looked so big. But after closer inspection and asking the doctor, they turned out to the be the babies fingers, but ultrasound pictures can't always pick up everything, so I couldn't see the arm going up towards the head.

It looks to me like it might be holding its arms up on either side of its head? Difficult to make out though.
