weed addiction?

Me and my hubby have been smoking weed for the past 5 years. I stopped when I found out I was pregnant but he hasn't. Is it wrong for me to want him to stop too. He's told me he would but his actions differ and I'm getting emotional about it. I just don't understand how hard it could be. I just want the best environment for my baby.

You can't expect him to stop just because you did. My husband and I were the definition of pottheads and when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter I stopped completely but he didn't. At first I felt the same way you do. I wanted him to stop because I had but it becomes a habit. I eventually went back to it but occasionally until I got pregnant again. Have smoked only once after that and I stopped completely.  My husband eventually stopped too. He will smoke every once in a while. Talk to him and tell him it bothers you but try understanding that if he doesn't stop it doesn't mean he doesn't care what you think. I learned that eventually. Personally I accepted it because it was nothing but constant bickering because I wasn't ok with it. When I finally did everything was good and it never interfered with his job or being a good dad.

My husband has been completely sober with me since day one. Quit smoking, drinking, everything. He said "if I can't be clear headed for my son, somethings wrong" and he dropped it. The smoking was tough, he's bought a pack but didn't open it and gave it away. If it's what you expect, keep communicating. Give him reasons.

It's more of a habit then addiction. Tell him how you feel all over again. He'll just need to find a new "hobby type of thing." Good luck!

My husband still smokes but I don't mind it. I'd rather him have a bowl than get drunk or have a few beers. & It helps him relax after work. He partially smokes for pain relief. 
I understand not wanting to have him smoke around baby, but we figure once baby is here he can go outside if he still wants to smoke. Now he smokes in the bathroom with fan on, outside or sometimes in our room and blows it out the window. 
When I first quit with this pregnancy I wanted hubby to stop completely since I couldn't smoke, but now that I haven't smoked in months I don't mind him smoking at all.

It can be pretty rough to break the habit. Sleeping in particular. And he doesn't have the physical motivation you had. Not giving excuses for him but when you're used to smoking a lot it's hard to think of ways to fill up your time. He might need some help with new distractions.

don't feel bad hun I used to smoke weed at times before I got pregnant and my boyfriend hasn't smoked it in a while since he got a job now but is planning to smoke it again in the near future I don't mind it as long as he's not smoking it around the baby I'm good
