I called my senators and representatives for the first time, and I'm presently looking for a local organization to get involved in. I'm also pondering running for an office one day. I wasn't ever that much of a participant (I cast my first vote this election), but I feel enlightened when it comes to acting like a citizen should. So much about the past week has been awful that I wanted to discuss something uplifting, and all the crowds here and around the world along with the brave few in government who spoke up have been what gave me hope.
