Landlord makes me uncomfortable.

We moved into a rental this past September and signed a lease for 12 months. We plan on purchasing a house and moving when the lease runs out. Our landlord seemed really great and attentive. He has fixed any issues as they have arisen. I noticed on his first trip for a repair it took him way to long to do it. I shrugged it off as an older person going slow. He kept making conversation though and that also slowed the process. Over time every trip took 5+ hrs no matter how small the problem. I didn't want to be rude. My husband told me he was just slow. Shrug. Anyway then his "wife" started giving me clothes and tons of expensive things. I had never met her. He would drop them off unexpectedly. I stated I was appreciative but didn't need anything else. My husband thought they were just being kind. Then comes Christmas. He buys my husband a die cast car toy from salvation army (sticker still attached) and then buys me brand new inappropriate items. Underwear, Victoria's secret perfume set and some shirts. I was thrown as was my husband. We decided since we are stuck here I would just cut ties completely. So I no longer pay rent or communicate. My husband only does and has since Christmas so I feel comfortable and am protected. Well the sink started leaking and my husband gave him a time to be here. Well he came two hrs early and I didn't know what to do so I let him start the repair. Well 30 min in he says "wow you look really good today" those are nice jeans"... I was so uncomfortable and sick to my stomach but I didn't know how to respond so I said nothing. How do I approach this situation without causing us trouble? My husband is so upset and wants to talk to him. I don't want to have to move or ruin our credit over this. Any adult solutions? I don't want to here illegal or vulgar things please. I'm not violent and am very rational but at a loss. I want to stand up for myself because I deserve respect. I just don't want to cause us trouble. We have to deal with him the rest of the contract.
