pregnancy and the gym

So ladies. My husband and I recently started going to a gym and I enjoy it...I guess. Anyway I'm 18 weeks pregnant and I was wondering what machines and excercises I need to steer clear of? I know you're not supposed to lift heavy weights or do any abdominal workouts but I just wanted to see if there is anything else that's not safe? My baby sits really low (hopefully a boy!!) and today I have this weird pain right beneath my bump. Like not quite my crotch but very very low belly. It's not like any soreness I've ever felt before and I'm wondering if maybe it's from working out? And I don't know if it's even soreness. It's like a mix between soreness and gas pain. I don't know.
