FINGER NAIL HELP!!

So I noticed earlier this morning that the side of my finger hurt and was a little hard when I touched it. It's now 11pm and I looked at it to see this. I did some searching and saw that it could be an ingrown/ infected nail. I was wondering if anyone had any idea what I can do to get this to go away?? If you do, help would be great!!
