OK, so my brother hit me in the face repeatedly. I wanted to call the police and press assault charges but my mother told me not to or she'll kick me out. If she does then I won't I anywhere to go. She always blames me anytime something like this happens even though he was obviously the one who started it. I don't know what to do cause these confrontations keep happening. And although I'm legal age I don't have anything. What should I do?

By the way I'm 18(5'8) and he's 14(6'3).

Update... My friends are either in college or have kids so I don't want to impose on anyone. And also my brother has broken a hole in my door threatening to kill me. I called the police but decided in not presses charges otherwise I would have nowhere to go.
