Which are more important/worth the investment?

Family photos would be a few weeks after baby arrives!

I'm have 3 kids, im happy with at home maternity photos. I have 3 kids and aside from a quick 'wow look how big my belly was' I'm kinda over it. I'd feel uncomfortable having a portrait of just me on display at home. But pictures of my kids,  I can look at them every freaken day and it's amazing to see how much they change so quickly. It reminds me to slow down and enjoy them. I also love seeing my own baby puctures and pictures of my parents when they were younger, now that i have my own kids. So if you can only afford 1 session do a couple shots of just baby, a couple with you and baby, and a couple with all 3 of you or family.

I'm choosing family pictures over the other two. I thought to myself, which pictures would I actually want to frame and hang all over the house... family pics definitely won over my giant belly in a sheer dress haha

Answer

You can take family photos for free maybe have a friend do it and buy lunch. And same with mat pictures. But newborn pictures seem like a lot of fun and will be kept special. Plus everyones always turns out so perfect!
