feet get numb when exercising?

Hi everyone-
I was wondering why my feet turn numb after ive been using the elliptical after a couple miles? Could it be that i dont have the right sneakers or just poor circulation? I have to stop and wiggle my feet around to get normal feeling back and then it turns numb again.

YES! I think it's common due to poor circulation (because you're just pushing your feet, not actually physically lifting them from the pedals and putting them back onto them). This happens to me on the elliptical and on the bike.

The first think I'd check is how tight you're tying your shoes: too tight & you might be restricting circulation, too loose & your feet might be sliding around producing enough friction to get numb.
