I heard that there's little to no career growth if your a Pharmacy Tech. is this true?

That is true, but you can have a very good career as a pharm tech. My FIL is a head pharmacist at a very popular children's hospital and his techs make $20/hour or more.

I've heard the industry is stagnant right now but also know a friend who went to school to be a pharmacist currently is the pharmacy manager or something at a chain drug store. She's had a few jobs and is very bubbly but older people have told me their family members want to look elsewhere but are stuck at their current job.

Not necessarily, you can always go to school to become a pharmacist. Having experience as a pharm tech would help a lot with the school.

There really isn't growth other than going back to school to be a pharmacist which is a doctorate degree. But depending on your state you may not even need schooling to be a pharmacy tech. Some states you can just walk in, apply, and be trained on the job.

Unless you want to be a pharmacist, then there's no real growth. Like maybe a supervisor position of the other techs, but the pharmacists run the show. My brother and sister in law are both pharmacists. They rely heavily on their techs, but they also are the first to come down on them if something goes awry. They stay with the same techs for years. It's a tough field.
