Needed to talk about a terrifying thing that happened

Today was probably one of the scariest moments of my life. I came home from a friends house after school to find my mom in her bed, coughing and wheezing from an asthma attack and throwing up at the same time. It was scary, terrifying, and I was in shock for a total of four seconds before I got out my own inhaler and gave it to my mom. Only then to run to the kitchen to grab a bucket for her to throw up in. It took a total of 1hr and 45minutes until her breathing calmed down and she stopped throwing up.

Now I know most of y'all are like 'why didn't you call the cops?'. Simple. We cant afford a trip to the hospital.

My mom is a single mother of two children (Me being the youngest), and if I hadn't come home earlier, my mom could have been dead and I would have no one to go too. Not only that but the most important person in my life would be dead.
