Understanding Guy Introverts

So i officially fell for this guy about a week ago. I have had feelings for him since early freshman year (i am a sophomore now). The day I realized i liked-liked him was the day i could have sworn we were flirting with one another. However, yesterday he told me how he is so close to getting a girlfriend and then showed me a picture of her. Today he told me about how he is unsure about her because she likes to be indoors more than outdoors (He absolutely loves the outdoors and being adventurous and so do I). I then asked do u still like her and he said yes but is unsure about the being indoor part. So my question what are signs an introvert is flirting with you/likes you? And should I just be happy for him or is it okay to hold out hope even though I know it is wrong?
