Switching Birth Controls

I currently have the Nexplanon & I love how long term it is and I don't have to worry about it daily. BUT my periods are horrible!! I had my period with it for a YEAR STRAIGHT when I first got in put in. I'm not even kidding. Now I have them for about 3 months at a time and then 3 months without. One of my friends has the same issues as me. I get it taken out April 1st & I need some recommendations on what different birth control I should get that's also long term! Please help!!
