insurance Breastpump question?

So I got the ob to write me a prescription for one electric Breastpump. Do I just walk in the pharmacy and tell the which one I want? Or do they give me a list of which ones I can have? Or do they just give me one? How does this work lol I'm lost. (I really want the lansinoh pro and I hope I get it)

I went through Edgepark medical supply. I received emails from babycenter regularly and one day received one that said let us help you get a breast pump through insurance. I went on Edgepark's website and submitted my information. They did everything for me and gave me a list of pumps to choose from. Once I filled out the pump I wanted they contacted my doctor and insurance and I received a pump in less than 5 days in the mail.

I used Aeroflow and they did all of the insurance stuff for me and I got my *new* breast pump in 3 days. It was super easy and they gave me a list of ones that were fully covered by insurance and those that I could pay a fee to upgrade. It was super easy.

I don't know if pharmacy's carry them . Call your insurance and ask what places you can order it from . I had to order mine by phone and it was shipped to me

I contacted Aeroflow online. I initially intended just to get information on how to get one free through insurance, since I'm not due until July, but a gal contacted me immediately. I just had to tell her what kind of insurance I have. SHE contacted my OB and got the insurance. She gave me a list of my options. I picked one. She sent it and I received it in three days! I don't know how other people get them, but Aeroflow was great. Just Google Aeroflow and go from there.

I called my insurance company and they gave me a list of vendors they work with. They said I would give one of them my prescription and let me know which pumps were covered.

It turns out that my doctor works with a pharmacy that took care of everything for me. They gave me a list of bumps covered 100% and which ones I could get for an additional charge.

You have to call your insurance to check you benefits and how it works. I did not need a prescription but my insurance covered only a single kind of pump and I had to get it from a certain medical supply company.
