animal sensing pregnancy?

My now 4 month old kitten has gotten super clingy towards me. He loves waking me up at around 2-2:30 am to get loved on. At least 3 of those times I have had to get up to throw up. He wants a to cuddle in between me and my man right next to my belly rather then where he usually sleeps which is by our feet. We want a baby and I've been going through weird mood swings, I've been craving different foods real bad, my period is late by about 2 weeks now, I've been a little bit of a mess. I've looked up if animals can sense pregnancy. It said that they could and they act differently. So is my kitten sensing something I'm not?
