My husband has a 7 year old from a previous marriage. He told me he talked to his first son in the womb all the time,  and when his son was born, he always calmed down quickly when my husband started talking to him. Whether that was actually because his son recognized the voice, or my husband just had the magic touch, who knows. But my husband is so excited for this baby to get far enough along to be able to hear him, so he can start talking to him.

I would feel silly personally. Yes they can hear you, but they'll hear me just the same when I'm having a normal conversation with my husband.

baby develops hearing at 13 weeks 😊 it might sound like mumbles to them bc of the layers of skin muscle and fluid and fat the sound waves have to go through but they can hear you
