When to try a bottle?

My bub is almost 3 weeks old and my SO is dying to be more involved. She is EBF and won't even consider a soother so I'm not even sure if she will take a bottle. When did everyone try a bottle with their breast fed bubs?

My son took both bottle and breast since day one with zero issues or confusion I guess it all depends on the baby.

I learned in breast feeding class to introduce the bottle at 3 weeks. Before that it could cause nipple confusion and too much after that the baby might be more likely to refuse the bottle.

I breastfeed and pump so my husband can bottle feed. Our son has been taking both since he was 4 days out without any issues.  My supply is fine and we have no nipple confusion. Not sure if we just got very lucky or if the other theories are just wrong but it works for us.

I was told don't give baby a bottle until at least 6-8 weeks because of nipple confusion. I never gave either of my breastfed babies bottles but I plan on pumping and using a bottle with this little guy around 3 months. I also don't know if you'd want to mess with your milk supply so early on. Good luck!
