IUD falling out.

I need some help. I got an iud put in 2.5 months ago. I have been feeling discomfort and slight poking the last couple days and can feel the strings hanging out. I since starting bleeding like a mid cycle period and bright red. I figured it was my first real period since giving birth 2 months before having this put in.. So basically the last 4.5 months I only had the post birth bleeding for a few weeks them spotting here and there especially after this was inserted. But nothing this heavy or steady. Well now not only do I feel the poking of strings I feel it up there and so I felt and did feel the bottom of the iud. So now I feel poking in there that's almost similar to a tampon or nuvaring being misplaced. Meaning it's moved and I'm very uncomfortable, pain not too bad but it's bugging the shit out of me like pulling my hair out crazy. And the bleeding is easily from that not a period. I don't know how serious this is and don't know if I should wait til tomorrow when the doctors open and mAke an appt or if I need to do something now.... Any help?? What if I tried to pull it out? What are the risks of leaving it where it is until I can get in to the doctor?
