Why are people so against their SO liking other girls' pics and stuff?

I think it's a little stupid when people in a relationship ask each other to unfollow people just for liking their photos. I can understand if the person is trying to slide in their DMs, but just liking a picture? That's a bit much. Why do couples do that? Are they THAT jealous?

just don't think it's necessary. me and my bf both deleted our ig's for good when we got together because it's un- needed attention and drama always comes out of it. it's pointless to be liking other girls pictures or for me to be liking guys pictures as well.

Idc i like other guys photos too. Don't mean I'm interested at all. Doesn't mean I've even looked at the photo. You're allowed to have friends of the opposite sex.

It's a personal thing to every woman. Some women just find it to be a respect thing in their relationships and they are entitled to feel however they want. If both parties agree with the boundaries in a relationship idk why anyone else would care if they minded or not.

I think every relationship is different and they do what works for them, they unfollow or delete people as a token of respect for their partner. That doesn't make it stupid, its a compromise and that is what relationships thrive on. Respect for each other and compromise.
