So he says it's a girl...
So I had to go to the hospital today and get scanned, just to be on the safe side, because a child in the supermarket bumped into my tummy with a shopping trolley... at top speed... I have bruising on my tummy so I had to have a scan and a rhesus D injection 😔. But I could feel the baby moving like normal, and had no internal pain or blood loss, so I wasn't too worried. Anyway, baby pops up on the screen, looking lovely as ever and wriggling and stretching. I have to wait until March 13th for the gender scan (I'm nearly 17 weeks at the moment) but I'm desperate to know gender as we have 2 boys and a girl would be great. So I'm saying to the poor doctor, 'go on, tell me what you think, off the record! I won't hold you to it!!' And he's reluctant because he's not meant to, but he gets a view between baby's legs- like we were looking upwards from below- a sort of 'up-the -skirt' angle... and there's nothing there. No willy. So he says 'well, I would say this is a girl, but I'm not saying for sure' ... it was a clear angle and absolutely no 'lumps or bumps' to be seen at all. So I guess I'm asking if anybody has been told they're having a girl and ended up with a boy? I know girls sometimes get called boys because the umbilical cord gets in the way, but anybody had a girl that ended up actually being a boy??? And if I saw that clear angle between the legs at 17 weeks, and really couldn't see anything, does that mean it probably really is a girl??? ❤
