BreastMilk to Formula!

Hey my son is 6 months old and is greedy as hell. He's been drinking breast milk since he's been out the womb but my girlfriends milk is starting to run low now so we're trying include formula to help her out. Whats the perfect time through the day to give him formula so he can get use to it and not just want breast milk all the time??
