It's common to feel nauseous/throw up during the glucose test because of all the sugar you're putting into your body at once. It has nothing to do with if you have GD or not.

If you cannot drink it in the allotted time or vomit it up it will definitely throw the results off.

I haven't met a person who said the test didn't make them nauseous/throw up. I have however met many woman who passed despite getting sick. The two are not correlated.

If you ask them they will tell you it's the equivalent to drinking half a case of Mountain Dew. So it's understandable that you would vomit afterwards. That's a ton of sugar.

I had to take the test 3 times when I was pregnant with my son because I threw up each time after I chugged the drink. My doctor only allows 3 chances so I had to poke my finger 4x a day for a month to check my blood sugars that way. Everything turned out to be normal but man it sucked to go through that!
