Breast feeding?

Can I still breast feed or pump and give baby my milk if I feel like im getting sick or have a runny nose n headach? Also if I take any medications  Sorry stupid question but FTM

Yes, it's actually even recommended! Your body will make antibodies to protect your baby from the illness you have. I've had the stomach flu while breast feeding. My daughter is 2.5 and has still never had it! And I stopped breast feeding at 8 months.

You can still feed while sick, but check with your dr or pharmacist before feeding after taking any meds- some are OK, some are not.

I agree that if your sick it's great to still breast feed. But, as the other commenter said, id check with ur doc if you're taking meds as some are not ok while breast feeding

I've read that when you're sick your body actually produces whatever your baby needs to not get sick. If that makes sense lol
