I'm still in my first trimester && I work as a waitress, so when should I tell my boss I'm pregnant? && what should I even say???

12-13 weeks is a good mark, but you may need to say something sooner if you're like me, and suffered with puke and headaches. They may be able to help you by moving you to a task where you are off your feet for a little time throughout the day.

One warning; I couldn't stand the smell of food or cooking during the first trimester, and as you are a server, this could be an issue. If this happens, and your boss is the kind type, tell them ASAP, so you don't puke and drop someone's food!

I'm a server and didn't tell anyone at work til I was like 22 weeks and my boss was like "are you pregnant??" Cause I stopped wearing my high waisted slacks and tucking my shirt in cause they didn't fit anymore 😂then after that everyone knew. I just didn't want to be treated differently and now I definitely am. Everyone acts like I can't lift a finger by myself, it's nice because I know they care but annoying cause I'm 7 months pregnant and work circles around everyone and they try to tell me to slow down like I'm disabled not pregnant

As soon as possible because if you slip or faint it could harm the baby at any stage....restaurantes are usually pretty understanding. I know when I was pregnant they made sure to have someone else carry the big tubs of dishware....I was stuck on lemon and lime duty but that was ok...(referring to set up and close)

It totally depends on you and legally you don't have to say anything if you don't want to. Unfortunately in my job, due to tlrisks, I had to tell as soon as I got a positive test. It's super easy to tell also, just tell them "I'm pregnant and wanted you to be aware."

I'd wait until your second trimester which is around 13 weeks to play it safe! Just say you're pregnant!! You really don't need to say more haha.

I worked through my whole pregnancy as a server and I never told my manager... they just kind of found out as my belly grew lol. In my case nothing would've changed as in special treatment so I just gave a notice when I minimized my weekly hours. It's all up to you and your body to see how long you work because it gets so much harder at the end!
