Metformin or Clomid helped you ovulate with your PCOS?

I have PCOS , and have been trying for 4 years to get pregnant. My sister does not have PCOS ,but was prescribed Metformin. I was just curious..which would possibly be the best for me ,knowing I have PCOS ?
