Negative...

Took a pregnancy test yesterday...7 days before my cycle.....I'm experiencing cramps,sore boobs,and hot flashes! I noticed CM on January 30th and 31st, my bf and I had sex February 1st and he released ... Test came out negative!... Is that too early to test? Is that why I got a negative test?
