Do you have a preferred form of protection?

What's your go to form of protection? My fiancé works A LOT so I'm by myself a lot of the time when doing things, especially leaving work (I have to walk through the ally behind the mall). I personally don't believe in guns but I want something yanno? I took kickboxing when I was younger but I feel like that's not enough so I've thinking about getting a taser. What's your thoughts 💭 or your go to's?
