Do babies drink water?

So I'm obviously not a mom, but I just thought this and was like wait... If they drink milk or formula do they ever drink water or are all of their nutrients in the milk/formula.

Note: I'm not an idiot or a troll. I actually have a BE but as I have said I've never had a kid and you don't exactly learn what babies eat unless you're around one and take care of it.

Nope. Babies should not drink water. None. Nada. Breast milk only until 6 months. Then solid foods are added. I think water starts later, when breastfeeding stops... Not 100% though.

Not until 6 months old which I was told by my pediatrician that he can have no more than 4 oz of water a day or juice mixed with water. I have given my son about an ounce of water before ) months with some sugar to help when he was backed up it was oked by his doctor

As others have said, water before 6 months is very dangerous, and after 6 months they should only have sips. Around a year, they can start having sippys/bottles of water. Formula and breast milk supply all nutrients until 1 year.

I practically raised my niece for her first couple years and that baby drank so much water. She loved it. I'm not sure if they need it but she would just drink and drink and drink.
