So I just seen this on twitter, is it tacky to do this when you don't finish your food? I always get a to go box but me and my fiancΓ© have been together for years so I guess I don't count. I just have never heard of this. What's your thoughts πŸ’?

Why in the world would it be tacky to not finish your food and not have perfectly good food thrown out.... I think it's tacky to waste food LOL

America's portions are not human sized. Damn straight I'm taking half home.

If i didn't finish it, I'm taking it home. Especially if I paid for it. I've never heard of that being tacky at all. I honestly want to know why some people say yes.

If it is I wouldn't care. Hell, my tacky ass will take that food home and eat it straight from the box as a midnight snack while binge watching Netflix. You only live one life...πŸ’πŸ»

Exactly! Specially if someone else paid for it.

I would be kind of offended if I took someone on a date, they barely ate the food I paid for and then let the waiter/waitress throw it away. So no, I don't think it's tacky at all.

I glad the consensus is that this is ok. I was worried for a second. πŸ˜‚

I don't think so. I can never finish my meals (which is why I usually try to order from the kids menu, lol) so I'm used to taking to go boxes home. I also think it's nice to bring what's unfinished home instead of wasting it. I don't see how it would be rude at all.
