a question for moms of teen girls

why do you get so angry & try to isolate your child when you find out they're sexually active? it's sad that so many teenage girls hide literally everything from their mom because they're in fear. sex is a part of life. it's gonna happen. I'm 18 & just had my own daughter & I want her to share things with me. I never want her to be afraid thinking I'm going to punish her. when girls become sexually active they need their moms advice on a lot of things. don't you want to be the one they come to? instead they're more comfortable talking to a complete stranger and that's sad. stop punishing your children for growing up please.
