hsg test ? nervous 😩

Has anyone did the hsg test before ? How was your experience? I go in on the 16th of this moth and am terrified

Hey ladies , I just got back from doing the hsg and I can't believe that I got myself so worked up 😂😂😂 TERRIFIED FOR NOTHING!!!! I did not feel the "10x worse period cramps" that a lot of people told me they felt . I only felt slight pressure and boom it was over in minutes. My results were great news they didn't even use the entire thing of dye it went so smoothly that my doctor kept giving me compliments on my uterus 😂😂😂. But thanks to all of you wonderful ladies for reassuring me . I really needed it .

Don't be terrified! It goes very quickly. There is pressure but it lasts less then a minute. You'll be done before you can say ouch!

It was painful for about a min. Suggest taking ibuprofen before you go.

I had some light cramping when she put the dye in, but that was it. It's uncomfortable, but I wasn't in any pain. Took about ten minutes from start to finish 😊 Definitely was not as bad as I was worried about!

Don't be nervous (I know, easier said than done), but it really isn't that bad. I had the same experience like the other ladies who replied had. Some cramping afterward and didn't last too long.

I just found out I'll be getting one done next month has to be a particular day in your cycle.. but the answer your question I've done alot of research it's not bad at all most women say it's less invasive than a PAP

My doctor had me take 800mg ibuprofen before and it was only about as bad as a Pap smear. Try to relax if you can - it's the best test besides cutting you open to find out what's going on inside and some people say it even "clears out" their Fallopian tubes and helps them get pregnant. Good luck!
