Hydronephrosis
Long one, be prepared.
Had ultrasound Monday. Yesterday radiologist called my Dr, who I saw today. They couldn't see both kidneys, but the one they could see is swollen. It's called Hydronephrosis, there is a blockage somewhere keeping urine in his system, not allowing it out. "They" say it is fairly common, especially in boys. But they are referring us to a "high-risk" OB for a more in-depth, higher technology ultrasound on monday. Depending on what they see, we may have to deliver there instead of here at our hospital, with my dr and my nurse and everything that I am comfortable with. It may or may not clear up on its own. They may have to do surgery on my newborn. She checked me, I am almost a 2 but he is still fairly high so she said probably won't be anytime soon unless something changes. Everyone keeps saying "it'll be fine. Don't panic" like that just magically makes everything better. I am freaking out and panicking and can't tell anyone. Does anyone else ever just want to tell everyone to shut up and let you panic in peace?!
