Should I be induced or not?

So I am currently 38 weeks and 3 days. I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and I am 2 cm dialated. They also stripped my membranes while checking me. My doctor said when I come back next week they can talk about inducing me anytime after 39 weeks. I have heard some pros and cons about inducing and I don't know what to do! Should I go ahead and get induced or should I wait? My first daughter was born at 40 weeks 6 days without being induced but I really don't want to go over 40 weeks again.
