Nipple stimulation...

I am currently due in about 4 weeks, and have done some research about nipple stimulation helping to onset labor. I tried it just last week and although it did bring on some pretty strong contractions, they ultimately stopped and now my breasts are much smaller and lighter and feel as if the milk I was producing dried up. Has anyone experienced this? Is that the case?
