people who have grown up with their parents in separate homes
Growing up my mom and dad weren't married, as a kid I really wish they were. It sucked having to see my dad every other weekend or sometimes not at all because of difficulties with my mom, I wouldn't want any child to go through that. My dad is part of my life and always has been despite issues with my mom, but it would have been nice if they were married.
I told myself that I would NOT put my future kids through something like that and would have kids with my future husband. Has anyone who has experienced that as a kid told themselves the same thing or does it matter to you?
