Septum removal (uterine resection) surgery stories?
I had a large septum removed from my uterus in April last year which we think was the cause of all our miscarriages. I am now pregnant with twins and am 11w1d, which is the furthest I've ever been.
Due to the size of the septum there's a fair amount of scar tissue on my uterus. My OB and I have discussed this and he feels that a planned csection is the way to go as there's concern with me going into labour causing my uterus to actually rupture. So while I'm excited we are having twins, it also worries me more as I've already got a jacked up uterus which now is going to be expanding twice as much in order to accommodate more than one baby.
Anyone else have this type of surgery before? How was your pregnancy and delivery? I'm just curious what other ladies experiences were with this. I had zero complications following my surgery and healed up well but as I said, it went over 2/3 of the way down my uterus so a fairly large removal occurred in my case.
