Side Sleeping?

Hey fellow mommies!
So my pediatrician told me baby should ONLY sleep in her back but I've found that she loves sleeping on her side. Does anyone know if it's safe? She's 6 weeks now, and I just want some sleep lol

My son spent 10 days in the NICU and always seemed to roll to his side. They said as long as he rolls that way he's fine but not to place him that way. I think they're more concerned about him getting rolled past his shoulder and not being able to get back if his face ends up in the mattress.

My daughter slept on her stomach for a few weeks when she was about 2 months old and now sleeps on her side at almost 4 months and sleeps almost through the night

I've had 3 kids and all my doctors told me they should lay on their back. I don't agree. When I took my babies home I would prop a pillow behind their back and let them sleep on their side just make sure their not too propped to where they will roll onto their belly.

My baby has slept on her side since day 1. She turns herself and wriggles to the corner of the bassinet. Mesh sides are essential for her! My pediatrician said if she's the one moving herself, it's fine.

Mine slept on her side since 1 week due to reflux. Doctor said he could choke on his own spit up ( he used to spit up a lot ) so he had to sleep on his side. He slept in my king bed with me tho so that i could keep a close eye on him.

My little one likes it as well. I'd roll up a little blanket and put it under his back to prop him up. They actually let us do it in the hospital. However, now that he's almost 6 weeks and a lot more wiggly I'm afraid that he will flip himself that last bit and end up on his tummy. So I haven't don't it 😕 I got a rock and play and he likes that a lot.
