contractions and pain??

Ok ladies I'm awake having some pretty painful stuff going on. I'm having contractions and this shooting pain in my pelvis and my back that's actually very painful. Baby has been active for about an hour now which is a long time for him. This pain is like a Lower back spasm and then it's that lightning crotch feeling. It's actually keeping me awake. It's happening about 3-4 times an hour. Does this sound normal or should I call L&D since I'm only 34w4d??
